Garden Strawberry Oil and Incense Sticks
The garden strawberry scientifically known as Fragaria - ananassa is a hybrid species, which is cultivated for strawberry fruit. The fruit is widely popular for its fragrance, attractive red coloration and succulent texture that is why it is also used in making incense sticks, scents and other products. It is used as a various ways such as preservatives, fruit juice, pies, ice creams and milk. Strawberry aroma is also obtained artificially and used in industrialized food products, fragrance and incense. The fruit is an aggregate accessory fruit where the succulent part is not plant's ovaries but the receptacle that holds the ovaries. Each seed on the outside of the fruit is actually one of the ovaries of the flower, with a seed inside it.
Garden Strawberry Cultivation
The strawberry flower appear hermaphroditic in structure, but function as either male or female. The cultivation of strawberry depends on number of factors such as season of ripening, liability of disease and constituent of plant. These are different in sizes, color, flavor, shape and degree of fertility and foliage. Some also differ from each other by the relative development of their sexual organs.
For commercial cultivation, the plant are propagated from runners (stolens) and distributed as either bare root plants or plugs. There are basically two types of cultivation - annual plasticulture and a perennial system of matted rows or mounds. During off season strawberry cultivation can be done in greenhouses.
